Remembering the Past ...
At the corner of Monarch Street and Cooper Avenue in downtown Aspen stood the Limelite Lodge - a landmark and long-time love for the Paas/Woolery family. They owned and operated these family hotel accommodations in Aspen, CO for over 50 years. The Limelite complex, which included the Deep Powder Lodge, Snowflake Inn and former Ski-Vu Lodge, has now made way for a unique, affordable ski lodge that offers the same wonderful service and value, but with brand-new accommodations and modern amenities in a setting that has become even more central to the best attractions in Aspen.
Sibling owners Sue Woolery and Dale Paas were nostalgic for the former Aspen Inn, but are very excited about greeting guests at a renovated and reinvented version of their former business. Most of the old furnishings were sold locally and building materials were recycled, making way for the new, 126-room hotel. Large windows afford great views, and the beautiful mountainside will continue to be a classic backdrop.

The Limelight is an Aspen, Colorado hotel central to downtown, as well as skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and sightseeing. The hotel borders Wagner Park - a great place for dogs - and is just one block from the center of downtown.
